Story
The company was founded in 1928 by my grandfather, Kunio Takayama, who opened Yamani Shoten, and my father, Yoshio, the second generation owner, expanded it into a company that operates liquor stores, supermarkets, and convenience stores. Currently, my elder brother, Seiichiro, the third generation owner, runs the liquor store Sake Yamani in Kanamachi, Tokyo, and I have taken over the convenience store division as Meso Retail Co., Ltd., which operates the FamilyMart Marunouchi Trust Tower store in Marunouchi, Tokyo. We have been in the retail business for three generations, and each generation has changed to meet the needs of the times.
Meso Retail Co., Ltd. has established a new import division in addition to its convenience division.
In order to create new value for a retail store that pursues convenience, we set out to find organic products and high-quality items that are not available domestically.
In 2022, we started importing rose foods from Bulgaria, and have expanded into wholesale business in addition to selling them in our own store. We will continue to collect and introduce high quality products from Bulgaria and around the world.
